Four laning of Dhanehari – Lailapur/ Vairengte section ( Package- 2 ) from Existing Chainage km 12 + 920 to km 43 + 000 of NH 306 ( Design Chainage km 20 + 000 to km 49 + 360 ) on Silchar- Vairengte- Sairang road in the State of Assam under Bharatmala Pariyojna on EPC mode. Project Significance

The four-laning of the Dhanehari–Lailapur/Vairengte stretch under Package-2 of NH-306 is a strategically vital infrastructure initiative with across-the-board regional and national implications. Its significance spans connectivity, economic development, safety, and national integration.

The Project will Enhances seamless travel along the Silchar–Vairengte–Sairang corridor, a critical link between Assam and Mizoram, improving inter-state movement. The Project will Help in faster movement of goods and services, reducing logistics costs and boosting trade across Barak Valley, Cachar, and adjoining regions and will Supports the agricultural, industrial, and commercial growth by improving access to markets and reducing travel time for freight carriers.
